Racing Pigeon Feed Schedule

While training your racers giving your birds the proper diet to include vitamins and minerals can be a challenge. My suggestion is to come up with a spreadsheet either hand written or computerized. Either one will help you to keep track of exactly what mixes are working for you. I use it to experiment on my feeding schedule for my race teams. Being fairly new to this sport (going on 3 years) I read a lot both online and from racing pigeon pamphelets. And try to implement the information that I have gained and see what works for me.

In my first few years I just put it all in my mind and tried to remember what was said to me or what I have read. Believe me there is so much to remember that I had started keeping track with a speadsheet. It made my life much simpler. I even tried to implement this speadsheet in the different races from different distances. Im still learning as the years go by, but look for improvement in my race teams. Lots of the Oldtimers gives my their side of the story and how they prepare thier racers. I take it into much consideration try it out and even try to see if what they are doing Im doing simular to them. One way of doing this again is to come up with somekind of spreadsheet or tracking system for your loft.

I do have a budget that I have to work with so all of my purchases is also recorded onto a speadsheet.
